Sal Island: City Hall ensures improvement in the conditions of fairs and markets for the tranquility of the sellers

Espargos, Oct 12 (Inforpress) – The Councilman of the social area at the City Hall of Sal, Jocelino Cardoso, today ensured improvements in the conditions of fairs and markets for the tranquility of the sellers in the different commercial spaces.

Jocelino Cardoso, who also takes over the heritage and financial portfolio at the City Hall of Sal, gave this guarantee when faced with the Mercado Fundo de Alvarina sellers’ complaints, in Espargos, who claim to replace the roof made with tarpaulins wich is tears, “long ago”, being exposed to the sun and rain.

The councilman announced that the process is underway to improve the conditions of fairs and markets in the island, admitting, however, some delay, which should be “understood”, taking into account the current context due COVID-19.

“Given the situation the island, Cabo Verde and the whole world is going through, the City Hall has been redefining priorities, and one of the priorities of the moment is food assistance and health care to vulnerable people,” he said, noting that this “almost makes other programs and projects impossible.”
