Espargos, Dec 27 (Inforpress) – The commander of the National Police (PN) squad in Sal, Gilson Tavares assured Thursday that the holiday season was marked by civic spirit of people, despite a case of aggression to an individual with a kniffe with “some gravity”.
Gilson Tavares boasted the behavior of residents in Sal, in a brief balance, within the scope of the National Police (PN) operational plan, “Christmas and New Year in Safety”, which has been in place since December 15.
With a focus on prevention and reinforcement of patrolling, police actions to enforce the plan should last until January 5 next year.
Reiterating that the holiday season was quiet between December 23 and 26, Gilson Tavares said, however, that a case of assault on an individual during a fight between the two men in Santa Maria would have stained “a little bit” the Christmas celebration party in the island. The victim was taken to Ramiro Alves Figueira regional hospital, in Espargos, and underwent surgical intervention, inspiring some care.
