Espargos, Nov 7 (Inforpress) – “The Role of Civil Society in the Development of Sal Island” will be the theme of a forum to be organized this Friday, 9th, by the Chã de Matias Association (ACM), a local NGO, to celebrate its 22 years of existence.
Framed in the commemoration activities, in partnership with the Platform of the Cabo Verde NGOs and the City Hall of Sal, the official opening ceremony will be witnessed by the mayor Julio Lopes, in the Grand Hall of the City Hall.
It is intended that the activity will start at 9:00 am and it should be concluded with a lunch in the space of the community association, promote the dialogue on the importance of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in the context of development.
During this working day, some themes will be developed, namely “The Role of Civil Society in the Local Development Process”, which will be hosted by the NGO Platform representative, Dirce Varela, moderated by psychologist Queila Soares, coordinator of the Cabo Verdean Institute for Children and Adolescents (ICCA), in Sal.
