Sal Island: Arrival of the inaugural flight of the Angolan Airlines scheduled for 4:10PM this Friday

Espargos, Apr 24 (Inforpress) – The inaugural flight by the Angolan Airlines (TAAG) is scheduled to land at Amílcar Cabral International Airport, Sal, at 4:10 PM on Friday, which event should be witnessed by the Transport Ministers of Angola and Cabo Verde.

Direct flights between Angola and Cabo Verde were suspended in 2016 due to the lack of profitability of the destination, and now, three years later, TAAG reconnects the two countries, via Sao Tome and Principe, to Sal Island.

The ceremony to reopen the Sal Island route will take place at Amílcar Cabral International Airport from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., in the presence of Cabo Verdean transport minister José Gonçalves and his Angolan counterpart, Ricardo Viegas D’Abreu.

Shortly thereafter, according to the schedule, the guests will be taken to the Hilton Hotel in Santa Maria, where the signing of the agreement with Cabo Verde Airlines, a cooperation agreement for code-share operation with air links between Luanda and Sal.
