Sal: Government signs protocol with Cabotel-Hotelaria for protection of the Ponta Sinó Natural Reserve

Santa Maria, April 21 (Inforpress) – The Ministry of Agriculture and Environment has established a partnership with the company Cabotel-Hotelaria for the protection, requalification, and valorization of the Ponta Sinó Natural Reserve in Sal, whose protocol was signed on Thursday, 20, between the parties.

The signing of the protocol, which aims to support the process of requalification and valorization of the terrestrial part of the Ponta Sinó Natural Reserve, following the existing management procedures and plans, within the scope of activities aimed at consolidating the Protected Areas of the country, was witnessed by the Minister of Agriculture and Environment, Gilberto Silva.

The document was signed by the National Director of Environment, Ethel Rodrigues, and the representative of the company Cabotel-Hotelaria and Turismo, Joan Trian, who committed to financing the environmental protection project, involving an investment of around 44 million escudos.

For Minister Gilberto Silva, it is a “significant and deserving” amount that deserves this protocol signing ceremony.
