Praia, Jul 20 (Inforpress) – The international movement S.O.S Cuba, in Cabo Verde, on Monday requested the President of the Republic, Jorge Carlos Fonseca, to exercise his diplomacy “for the Cuban people”, which has challenged the communist regime in recent days.
After presenting to Jorge Carlos Fonseca its views on the latest political and social events which marks the Republic of Cuba, beset by a wave of opposition to the communist regime led by President Miguel Díaz-Canel, the S.O.S. Cuba movement said it had left the audience confident that “Cabo Verde will take action in the future”.
“For us at the moment, it is very important Cuba achieve peace. We are currently suffering internal chaos. The Cuban people spontaneously took to the streets on Sunday throughout the country, from one end to the other, from the West to the East because they can no longer stand the suffering,” Yanira Monteiro, as a spokesperson, said.
She lamented that in Cuba there are already shortages such as lack of food, basic products, especially the essential goods, since food or hygienic products, medicines, ambulances to help patients, with hospitals in very precarious conditions and lack of doctors.
