Praia, Jan 11 (Inforpress) – Rosa de Porcelana Editora dedicates the year 2021 to ‘Diva of the Barefoot Feet’ starting the tribute on the 17th with the presentation in the book “Cesária Évora” in Ribeira Grande, Santo Antão by the Polish Elzbieta Sieradziñska.
According to Filinto Elísio, the biography of the ‘barefoot diva’ is already translated into Portuguese, so that the publisher promotes a tribute to Cesária Évora in 2021, as this year marks the 80th anniversary of her birth and 10 years death.
“The launch will be accompanied by moments of remembrance and starts on the January 17th, in Santo Antão, this to remember that the singer’s mother was from Ribeira da Torre, while on the 22nd it will be the turn of Mindelo (her homeland) for being Sao Vicente Day,” he said.
Speaking to Inforpress, Filinto Elísio said that launches are scheduled in Praia and Lisbon, during February, and in Paris, in March.
