Reflor-CV points to agri-forestry as a way to the future in promoting environmental resilience

Praia, Nov 22 (Inforpress) – The Reflor CV project national coordinator today highlighted the need for change in mentality about the importance of agri-forestry, because this system “is the way to the future” that will contribute to the construction and promotion of environmental resilience.

Luísa Morais made these statements to the press, on the sidelines of the opening ceremony of the training on agri-forestry, which began today and ends on the 26th, in the theoretical aspect, and the practical part to be held on the 29th this month to December 3.

According to this responsible, the training aims to help participants to increase their knowledge, skills and experience in agri-forestry development, promote understanding and basic skills necessary to support farmers in the development of effective and efficient agri-forestry practices.

The training course, which brings together technicians from the Ministry of Agriculture and experts from four countries on the African Coast, takes place as part of the “Strengthening the adaptability and resilience of the forestry sector in Cabo Verde” project (Reflor-CV), FAO and the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, in partnership with the Friends of Nature Association.
