Praia, Aug 8 (Inforpress) – The proposal for a bill for the Regulation of Biocidal Products in Cabo Verde is in public consultation until August 30, with the aim of collecting suggestions and comments from entities and citizens for its validation.
According to an explanatory note from the Agency for the Regulation and Supervision of Pharmaceutical and Food Products (ARFA), to which Inforpress had access, this proposal for a regulation lays down the rules and procedures to be followed to placing on the market biocidal products and active substances of these products, for the purpose of their use.
The proposal for a bill applies to biocidal products and active substances of these products, the ARFA document stresses that all biocidal products for veterinary use and foodstuffs or foodstuffs are excluded from the scope of this Decree as wll as for animals used as repellent or flashy.
With this bill, ARFA intends to establish a system that sets the basis for the regulation of biocidal products from the time they are placed on the market until their use and clarifies the responsibilities in relation to the various types of biocidal products.
