Calheta, Sao Miguel, Apr 2 (Inforpress) – The prime minister considered this Monday important to take a massive action for dissemination of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), believing that if people know them will commit and participate in its implementation.
Ulisses Correia e Silva made the remarks this Monday in São Miguel (Santiago Island), during his speech in the opening official act of the first edition of SDG to youth festival (Global Youth festival for the Sustainable Development Goals), which runs until 8th, in the presence of the AIESECS’ presidents, Igor Espanhol and the City Hall of São Miguel, Herménio Fernandes.
“The first job is to disseminate the ODS as much as possible, to explain to people what they [ODS] are, to make them commit so that they can participate in the implementation of this important matter” the official said.
The head of the Government recalled that the ODS are 17 and in several areas, whose implementation is scheduled for 2030, when all countries have to adopt and take on a set of goals, which translate into creating a better, more sustainable world and with better living conditions for people and create future for the youth.
