Ribeira Grande, Jul 24 (Inforpress) – Prime Minister José Ulisses Correia e Silva said Thursday in Ribeira Grande that the Government is making “good, impacting investments” in the Santo Antão economy, which amount to more than one million escudos.
Speaking to Inforpress, at the end of his four-day visit to the island of Santo Antão, the head of government said that he takes good impressions of what is being done and “a feeling of confidence on the island”.
“We are making good investments, impacting the economy and people’s lives, opening an important part of the three municipalities, creating conditions for access to water and its mobilization so that agriculture is carried out in better conditions”, pointed out the government official. Ulisses Correia e Silva believes that all this investment has an impact on the costs of production and water for farmers.
“Our intention is that all existing boreholes can be equipped with solar energy, as well as continue to invest heavily in drip irrigation because the more we use the more we save and the more efficient is the production”, stressed the Prime Minister .
