Prime Minister receives “Mutualism and International Solidarity” award in Porto


Praia, July 7 (Inforpress) – The Prime Minister, Ulisses Correia e Silva, receives today at city of Porto, Portugal, the distinction of Mutualism and International Solidarity that was granted to him by the board of directors of União das Mutualidades Portuguesas.

According to a press note, the head of government is distinguished by the “excellent work he has done”, as a mayor of Praia City, and continues as Prime minister, when he took over the social economy as a fundamental part of changing the paradigm of charity and dependence of citizens.

The award, which will also be granted to the Mozambican writer and biologist Mia Couto, is made at a time when the 720 years of Portuguese Mutualism are being marked at the 12th National Congress of Mutualism, taking place on 7th and 8th, at the Congress Center of Customs in Port.

During his visit to Portugal, Ulisses Correia e Silva, will know the operation of the Honorary Consulate of Cabo Verde in the North of Portugal and will be received by the Mayor of Porto.
