Espargos, May 31 (Inforpress) – Prime Minister Ulisses Correia e Silva said Tuesday that the Sal Island will have a “great” growth dynamics in the near future, supported by the “important” investments underway.
During a 24-hour visit to the Sal Island, the chief of the executive was able to learn on Tuesday on the progress of some works and projects, namely the expansion of the port of Palmeira and the project to improve water supply and energy, having previously met with the mayor Julio Lopes, where he knew about other projects for the island.
Ulisses Correia e Silva expressed his enthusiasm for what he saw, since, as I said, these are investments with “important” impacts for the development of the island.
“All these investments are extremely important in order to make Sal strengthen its position in Cabo Verde and have an impact on the stronger national economy,” he said, assuring that the Government has already engaged the additional part of financing, 5 million euros (about 500 million escudos) for the construction of access to the port and to the super structure.
