Praia, April 11 (Inforpress) – The Prime Minister, Ulisses Correia e Silva, rejoiced at the return of the Atlantic Music Expo (AME) on Monday night, after three years of interruption due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“I was pleased to witness the effective return of AME after three years of interruption due to the pandemic, which generated numerous challenges and limitations,” wrote the head of government on Facebook, stressing that the event has already consolidated itself as a prestigious and reference brand for Cape Verde.
According to the Prime Minister, the fair goes beyond music and culture, also encompassing business, meetings, and exhibitions that highlight the best of Cape Verdean music production, elevating the country’s international projection.
“We count on the presence of internationally renowned artists, journalists, producers, cultural agents, and media, which confirms the importance and scope of the event,” he noted, considering that AME also becomes a “meeting point with the diaspora, always interested in following closely the events in Cape Verde.”
