Prime Minister award Cabo Verde Medical Association

Mindelo, Jan 18 (Inforpress) – The Prime Minister, Ulisses Correia e Silva, awarded Cabo Verde doctors in Mindelo, through the Cabo Verde Medical Association, with the Medal of the 1st Degree of Professional Merit, “for the work done” to the Nation.

This distinction was handed over to the president of the Cabo Verde Medical Association (OMC), Danielson Veiga, during the Cabo Verdean Doctor’s Day celebrations and the 23 years of the OMC creation, held on Sunday, 17th, in Mindelo.

According to the Prime Minister, it is a distinction and recognition “deserved by the work and dedication” the class has developed and placed at the service of people and the country.

“In the exceptional moment that Cabo Verde lives, caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, doctors have played an important role, working tirelessly to save human lives”, considered the head of the Government, for whom this tribute, at this time, is a “recognition of bravery” in combating COVID-19.
