Presidential Elections: CNE makes ‘fac simile’ of ballot papers available to candidates

Praia, Sep 23 (Inforpress) – The National Election Commission (CNE) has handed over to representatives of the presidential candidates of October 17 exact reproductions of the original ballot papers (‘fac simile’), in order to inform voters about the correct use of them.

Fac simile are exact reproductions of the original ballot paper, but with differentiating signs such as watermark, signature of the president, the stamp of the institution and therefore different from the original ballot papers which go to the polling station on October 17.

At the ceremony, held at CNE’s headquarters, representatives from four of the seven presidential election candidates were present, namely Gilson Alves, Carlos Veiga, José Maria Neves and Fernando Delgado.

However, due to the importance of this material, the president of the CNE, Maria do Rosário Gonçalves, assured that it will make reach all candidacies the ‘fac simile’, as another instrument for the voter to express himself correctly on election day.
