Praia, May 28 (Inforpress) – The President of the Republic, Jorge Carlos Fonseca, today reaffirmed Cabo Verde’s “firm will” towards the densification of regional integration, seeking increasingly virtuous forms of movement of people and goods.
“[…] I reaffirm once again our firm will to further densify regional integration, seeking increasingly virtuous forms of movement of people and goods, technical, normative, economic and financial convergence,” said the Head of State, in a message to the President-in-Office of the ECOWAS Conference of Heads of State and Government, Addo Dankwa AKUFO-ADDO, on the occasion of the 46th anniversary of the regional Community creation.
“This date constitutes […] opportunity to reflect, in order to define an ever better future and to increase the effectiveness of our strategies to strengthen democracy, the rule of law, integration and development, in view of the aspirations of our peoples for peace, stability, security and a development to fosters well-being for all”, said the Cabo Verdean Head of State.
Jorge Carlos Fonseca also referred to the defense of the values of peace, freedom and democracy, in favor of the harmonious economic and social development of the Countries of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).
