President of the Republic begins visit to Portugal today and closes the Energy and Climate Summit in Portalegre

Lisbon, April 18 (Inforpress) – The President of the Republic begins a three-day visit to Portugal today, where he will be received by the mayors of Sintra and Portalegre and will also close the V Energy and Climate Summit.

The first point of José Maria Neves’ visit takes place from 16:00 (14:00 in Cape Verde) with a visit to the Luso-Cape Verdean Association of Sintra (ACAS) in Rio de Mouro, which will be attended by the President of the Rio de Mouro Parish Council, Raquel Amaral, the Councilor of the Sintra City Hall, Eduardo Quinta Nova, and the General Coordinator of ACAS, Rosa Moniz.

According to the schedule, one of the highlights of José Maria Neves’ visit will be his participation in the V Energy & Climate Summit, which takes place from April 19 to 20 in Portalegre, Alentejo, where he is invited to close the cycle of the first five editions of the Energy & Climate Summit, on the topic of “Circular Economy”, on April 20.

The event is organized by the Energy and Climate Forum, a non-governmental environmental conservation organization that brings together all the countries of the Community of Portuguese-Speaking Countries (CPLP), in partnership with the Polytechnic Institute of Portalegre (IPP) and the Alentejo Regional Coordination and Development Commission (CCDR), as part of the Guardians environmental education project.
