Praia, Apr 17 (Inforpress) – The president of CERMI expressed himself expectant Tuesday with the visit of the president of Equatorial Guinean to said institution, saying that this initiative may serve as a possibility to establish in the future partnerships between institutions of the two countries.
Luís Teixeira made these remarks to the press after receiving the visit of the president of Guiné -Equatorial, Teodoro Obiang Mbasogo, considering that the visit served to open the doors of the Center for Renewable Energies and Industrial Maintenance (CERMI) and show how the institution works as a center of excellence that has formed several young people from ECOWAS and PALOP.
“CERMI maintains the largest power plant in Cabo Verde, there is a lot of opportunity here, especially in the area of training. I think CERMI can export this service. In fact, CERMI is already doing this service and we can also do it with Guine-Equatorial”, he said, reiterating that Guinea-Equatorial is a developing country and CERMI, as a center of excellence, would have every interest in establishing cooperation with this country.
In addition to the training, he explained, CERMI can support and work with companies in the sector on renewable energy, energy efficiency, micro-generation of public buildings and technical assistance for the installation of large projects.
