City of Praia, Apr 13 (Inforpress) – The mentor of Miss Plus Size assured today that everything is ready for the second edition of this competition, with the participation of 11 candidates from different neighborhoods of the capital, aiming to increase the self-esteem of women considered outside of the norm.
The objective, according to the organization, is to give visibility to people considered overweight in order to help them raise their self-esteem, directing them towards the world of fashion.
“Because we know that sometimes they face problems even in the search for work or in other situations, so it is about giving maximum visibility to these people,” said Tânia Teixeira, arguing that it is not only a beauty contest, but also a way to “rescue the soul”.
Initially, the competition was supposed to bring 12 candidates to the contest, but now it counts one less due to unforeseen circumstances, according to the mentor, Tânia Teixeira.
