Praia, Apr 24 (Inforpress) – The week of reading entitled “Read More, Know More”, an initiative of the Presidency of the Republic, which started this Sunday, highlights the debate on the National Reading Plan in Cabo Verde as one of the “most important” activities.
“Is there a National Plan for Reading in Cabo Verde or is there not? This plan is where? Is there a need for a National Reading Plan for Cabo Verde or not? are some of the issues that will be under consideration, said today to the Radio of Cabo Verde (RCV) the counselor for the communication and culture areas of the President of the Republic, Jorge Carlos Fonseca, Joaquim Arena.
According to Joaquim Arena, these are some of the issues that the event committee is preparing with various partners, namely Ministry of Education, Ministry of Culture, National Library, National Institute of the Portuguese Language, University of Cabo Verde.
With the event scheduled for 5:00 PM this Monday, he explained that they intend to talk about the need of this plan, so that they can obtain contribution so that they can be structured or concluded that there is a need to have a National Reading Plan as in Brazil and Portugal.
