Praia, Jul 23 (Inforpress) – The Mayor of Praia (CMP), Óscar Santos, said that the City Hall is working to provide the city with a greater capacity for resilience in the rainy season.
According to the mayor of Praia, who spoke to the press, on the sidelines of a visit to learn about the progress of the drainage works in the neighborhoods of Moinho, Fundo Cobom, Tira-Chapéu, Pensamento and Calabaceira, in the last four years over 800 million escudos have been invested in this sector.
“These are projects with an investment of more than 90 million escudos and important in the community, because they will give more quality of life to people in the rainy season, protecting their lives and their possessions”, noted Óscar Santos.
The visit to these works took place after the presentation of the Emergency Operational Plan for the rainy season 2020, which, according to the mayor, will involve several entities, namely the National Police, Civil Protection and civil society, to help the City Hall to “be ready” during the rainy season.
