Praia, April 19 (Inforpress) – The President of the Republic (PR), Jorge Carlos Fonseca, on Tuesday urged the Government to seek solutions to unemployment and insecurity, noting that combating these two problems are national priorities.
The appeal was made in a conversation with journalists at Praia City on the eve of the executive led by Ulisses Correia e Silva to complete the first year in office.
Jorge Carlos Fonseca stressed that all opinion studies indicate that the vast majority of Cabo Verdeans, more than 80 percent, as he pointed out, points to the fight against unemployment and insecurity for the first and second priorities.
“So they are two major national priorities and the Government has to be aware of this, give priority, go looking for concrete solutions to these problems because they are also Government’s electoral commitments,” he said the journalists on the sidelines of the launch of the book ” Cabo Verde: Darwin’s Awakening “.
