Portugal: Tikai Group sells out Damaia Parish Centre with the play “Filho Pródigo”(Prodigal Son)

Lisbon, May 15 (Inforpress) – The theater group Tikai Produções & Eventos sold out on the afternoon/evening of Sunday, 14th, the room of the Parish Center of Damaia (Portugal) for the presentation of the play “Filho Pródigo” for the cabo verdian community.

More than 440 people went to see the play “Filho Pródigo”, in a presentation that takes place as part of the group’s tour for the premiere of their new film “Boita e Raboita des Mundo”.

At the end of the presentation, the group’s coordinator, João Pereira, also known as Tikai, thanked everyone for attending, regretting how “difficult” it is to do theatre in Cabo Verde and the effort made by all the members and actors of the group to make it possible to “bring happiness to the people”.

“Today it is because of the result of our work that we are here in Portugal (…), hungry, thirsty, with injustice and insults, but we made it,” said João Pereira, who, very emotional, asked the young people not to give up on their dreams, showing sadness at the fact that in Cape Verde “it is not possible to live from culture”.
