Portugal provides more than five million escudos for rehabilitation of CENORF

Praia, Nov 6 (Inforpress) – The Ministry of Labour, Solidarity and Security of Portugal has made available more than five million escudos to finance the rehabilitation works of the National Center for Orthopedic and Physical Rehabilitation of Cabo Verde (CENORF).

The cooperation agreement, budgeted at 50 thousand euros (about 5.451 million escudos) was initialed this Thursday morning by heads of the ministries of Family and Social Inclusion, from Cabo Verde, and of Labour, Solidarity and Security, from Portugal, and will allow the installation of accessibility for people with disabilities and / or reduced mobility at CENORF headquarters.

For the CENORF representative, Alberto Afonso, this act means another step in the projects the institution has implemented, especially in the adaptation of the space, which according to him, will overcome one of the existing difficulties in terms of accessibility.

On that occasion, he thanked the parties involved in this agreement, considering that at this moment the people of Cabo Verde are the winners, particularly people with disabilities.
