Portugal: Porto hosts the launch of the winning books of the UCCLA-CMLisboa Literary Revelation Award

Lisbon, 06 Sep (Inforpress) – The city of Porto (Portugal) hosts today the launch ceremony of the books “Breviário de Medo e Malícia” by Leonel Barbosa and “O Sentido Litoral” by A. B. Bueno, winners of the 8th edition of the Revelation Prize UCCLA-CMLisboa Literary.

The launch scheduled for 3:30 pm (1:30 pm in Cabo Verde) takes place at the Porto Book Fair, in an event that will be attended by the president of the City Council of Porto, Rui Moreira, and the general secretary of the Union of Portuguese-Speaking Capital Cities (UCCLA), Vítor Ramalho.

The Portuguese Leonel Barbosa and the Brazilian A.B. Bueno won this edition of the award, which brought together 301 applications from 19 countries, namely the Portuguese-Speaking African Countries (PALOP), the United States of America, Brazil, China, Timor-Leste, Germany, Belgium, Spain, Luxembourg, Norway, the Netherlands, Poland, the United Kingdom, Switzerland and Brazil, which has been the country with the highest number of applications, followed by Portugal.

The eighth edition of the Union of Portuguese-Speaking Capital Cities/Lisbon City Council (UCCLA/CML) Literary Revelation Award also awarded two honorable mentions, being “Sete Contos Insensatos”, written by Emanuel Vasconcelos Barbosa, with dual nationality Portugal/ Cabo Verde, and “Os Poemas Figurativos”, by the Portuguese Paulo Jorge Monteiro Marques.
