Lisbon, 13 Sep (Inforpress) – The Maense Association in Portugal (AMP) signed today, in Lisbon, two cooperation protocols that will allow it to reinforce its intervention in the area of education and start working on staff mobility.
The protocols were signed at the headquarters of the Union of Portuguese Speaking Capital Cities (UCCLA) among the AMP, through its president Carlos Frederico, the National Association of Municipal Assemblies of Portugal (ANAM) and the Valorglocal Cooperative (Centre for the Valorisation of Elected Officials), represented by their presidents, Albino Almeida and Manuel Ferreira Ramos, respectively.
“Through Valorglocal we will be able to help young Cape Verdean students and beyond, because we also work with students from the PALOP [Portuguese-Speaking African Countries], the vast majority of whom are Cape Verdeans, and it will allow us, not awarding scholarships, although this is AMP’s big dream, but specific social support for young people”, he explained.
With ANAM, Carlos Frederico, better known as Lito Spencer, said that it will allow the association he heads to further expand partnerships with higher and professional education institutions, mainly because there is a wide range of municipalities in Portugal that have a lack of students, but also active population.
