Lisbon, Jun 2 (Inforpress) – Cape Verdean artist Jay Moreira makes an intimate musical performance today at the Centro Cultural de Cabo Verde (Cabo Verde Cultural Centre) (CCCV), in Lisbon, where “versatility marks a meeting with Cape Verdean and world culture”.
According to the concert’s production, Jay Moreira will “explore the musicality of rap, reggae, pop and funk and traditional rhythms of Santiago island, such as batuque”.
Following the sixth and final work of originals “Truth” in 2019, the singer, songwriter and producer says this musical moment is what he calls the “Andreza Tour”, a tribute to his late mother with some themes that reflect longing and unconditional love.
Jay Moreira, who has been living in Portugal since he was four years old, was born in Librão dos Engenhos, in Santa Catarina, and having entered the world of music in 1998, when he was 18 years old.
Since then, he has released six albums, including “Só mi” in 2002 and “O Kim Txiga La” 2005.
