Lisbon, June 9 (Inforpress) – Cabo Verdean artist Élida Almeida takes the stage of Seixal World Music (Portugal) this Saturday, June 10, taking place at Parque Urbano José Afonso, in Miratejo, which starts today and runs until June 11 june, sunday.
According to the Seixal World Music 2023 programme, in addition to Élida Almeida, Shanbehzadeh Ensemble, with traditional music and dances from the Persian Gulf, Karyna Gomes and Black Africa, with the rhythms of the African continent, and Creatura, which brings with it a repertoire inspired by traditional Portuguese music, are the names that make up this year’s line-up.
On Saturday, Élida Almeida takes the stage at 22:00 (20:00 in Cabo Verde), after the Creatura group, but the festival starts today with a performance by Saeid Shanbehzadeh (Iran) and Karyna Gomes (Guinea-Bissau).
On Sunday 11, the last day of the event, there will be a puíta dance from São Tomé e Príncipe, with the Associação de Imigrantes Sem Fronteiras, and African dance, with the Associação Raízes do Bairro de Santa Marta.
