At the inauguration, the director of the National Center for Art, Crafts and Design (CNAD), Irlando Ferreira, showed that the exhibition and the brand represent the achievement of a “very great” challenge, because working from São Vicente to Brava, through digital means, “is completely different” than when working in person. As he pointed out, since 2018, when the project began, they were already aware that it would be a challenge, but the motivation of the creatives, both designers and the hand-embroidered made by women, made the CNAD and everyone involved bet everything was possible so that the project could get to what it is today. Porto Novo: Women in Solidarity for the Environment take their action to the beaches at the beginning of the bathing season

Porto Novo, Jun 7 (Inforpress) – The “Women in Solidarity for the Environment” Association, based in the city of Porto Novo, in Santo Antão, is “concerned” with the cleanliness of the beaches, at a time when the bathing season in this municipality is already taking place.

This Association, newly created, took advantage of the World Environment Day, which was celebrated this Sunday, to promote a clean-up action to the beaches in the city of Porto Novo, which begin to get very busy with the opening of the bathing season on June 1st.

According to the board of the “Women in Solidarity for the Environment” Association was collected “large amount of garbage” during this first campaign and warns of the need to keep clean those places that are getting very busy in this warmest period.

The bathing season in the municipality of Porto Novo lasts until September, with the surveillance on the beaches of Curraletes, Caisinho, Armazém and Tarrafal de Monte Trigo.
