Porto Novo, Mar 23 (Inforpress) – The reconstruction of the protection wall in the Monte Trigo fishing village, in Porto Novo, “is something that should have been done a long time ago and we are concerned about this delay”, warned Monday the local association leader.
The president of the Community Association of Monte Trigo, Agripesca, Rosa Miranda, insisted on the need for the Government and the City Hall of Porto Novo to support this community in the reconstruction of the protection wall for housing, which was destroyed by the rains in September last year.
“We are still waiting for the wall to be rebuilt. We are concerned because it is something urgent that should have already been done,” said the community representative, adding that the Monte Trigo residents are distressed by this delay.
The residents have been insistently contacting Inforpress to ask the City Hall of Porto Novo and the Government to rebuild this wall, taking into account the danger the houses are exposed.
