Porto Novo, Jun 18 (Inforpress) – More than 90 children in the countryside of the municipality of Porto Novo, in Santo Antão, have already received school kits from the Ilhas do Vento Association, as part of a campaign to support students from needy families.
The association representative, Afrodith Guilherme, explained that throughout this June students from schools in Lagoa do Planalto Leste and Chã de Norte were covered with school materials kits, all from families in need, highlighting the involvement of “several partners” in this initiative.
For the head of the association, these children need the “support of all to be able to achieve success in their studies”.
João Medina, a teacher, representing the Chã de Norte school, praises the association “solidarity gesture”, based in Porto Novo, encouraging it to continue with this type of action aimed at the most disadvantaged.
