Porto Novo, Feb 17 (Inforpress) – Forty-five needy families in the municipality of Porto Novo will soon be able to have bathrooms within the scope of a bathroom construction project already in the implementation phase.
The bathrooms, which are being built by the City hall of Porto de Novo, are part of the Santo Antão Water and Sanitation project, run by the Government and financed by the Arab Bank for Development in Africa (Badea).
For this year, planned investments in the environmental sector in the municipality of Porto Novo are around 60 million CVE, with emphasis on the construction of 45 bathrooms and afforestation actions in this municipality.
The Santo Antão Water and Sanitation project, which exceeds one million CVE, also provides for the expansion of the sewage network and the construction of a wastewater treatment plant in the city of Porto Novo, as well as the installation of new water in this city.
