Porto Novo, Apr 18 (Inforpress) – The Children’s House in Porto Novo, Santo Antão, is ready to receive orphaned, abandoned and disabled children, after complete some bureaucratic procedures to start their activities, the Voz da Criança Association said.
The activist Albertina Pino, responsible for the association promoting this project, said that it is only missing some issues with the Cabo Verdean Institute of Children and Adolescents (ICCA) for the opening of the Children’s House, which is equipped and ready to start activities.
This infrastructure was financed by the “Beatriz” Foundation, based in Switzerland, which made available 30 million escudos, in addition to the equipment.
It is a project designed by the Voz da Criança Association of Porto Novo to receive orphaned and abandoned children with physical disabilities, who will now have a home and all care, ranging from dormitories, meals, study rooms, wards, leisure spaces.
