Porto Novo, Sep 9 (Inforpress) – The municipality of Porto Novo has faced, in recent days, constraints in garbage collection, a situation that, according to sanitation services, is due to the breakdown of the only existing garbage car.
Residents are beginning to complain about the fact that garbage is accumulating in some areas of the city of Porto Novo, but to minimize this situation, the City Hall has resorted to vans to collect the waste.
The sanitation services of the municipality of Porto Novo have already called for “help” to the similar services of the municipality of Paul, which made their car available for the collection of waste in the city of Porto Novo.
Problems in garbage collection in Porto Novo occur at a time when the municipality receives a launching workshop for the water and sanitation project for the island of Santo Antão. The workshop, which starts this Monday, lasts for three days and is attended by the Minister of Agriculture and Environment, Gilberto Silva.
