PM considers the current state of development of the country is a reflection of the “strong options” taken

Praia, Feb 24 (Inforpress) – The Prime Minister considered Tuesday that the change of the political regime and the transition from an authoritarian state to democratic rule of law opened the door to the profound changes and all the country has today.

The finding was made by Ulysses Correia e Silva, who is also president of the MpD, moments before participating in the open conversation with women about “The role of the State in the Country Development Process”, promoted by the parliamentary group of the Movement for Democracy (MpD).

According to the head of government, the transition from an authoritarian state to a democratic rule of law, with the Constitution of 1992, has opened the door to “profound changes” and all Cabo has in terms of the political system, political and social stability, citizen participation and economic development.

“If we want to talk about the State, we have to have a starting point and know what State we are consolidating and developing from now on,” said Ulisses Correia e Silva, who assured the prospect is to have a State that is active in regulation, in promoting conditions of development, fostering economic activity, concerned about regional inequalities and asymmetries and where Cabo Verdeans identify with and feel represented.
