Praia, May 14 (Inforpress) – The Judicial Police (PJ) and the National Anti-Doping Organization in Sport (ONAD-CV) signed a cooperation agreement this Thursday, in order to create synergies to combat the “scourge” of sports doping.
The agreement was initialled by the president of the Cabo Verdean anti-doping organization, Emanuel Passos, and the national director of the PJ, António Sebastião Sousa, will allow the parties to establish specific fighting points to boost and intensify articulation and cooperation.
At the time, Emanuel Passos said the agreement will allow the parties to work together to identify areas of collaboration in combating drug trafficking to improving the athlete performance in a way that is “misleading and dangerous” for public health.
“With this partnership, we are building the necessary foundations for the construction of State public policy in the promotion of health, justice and equality among sports practitioners, and to take very important steps in the Eradication of Doping in Cabo Verde,” he said.
