Physiotherapy: Association wants a professional association to better regulate class

Praia, Sep 8 (Inforpress) – The president of the Cabo Verdean Physiotherapists Association (AFCV) said today that the creation of a professional association is one of the largest designs of the group created in 2017 and wants, with this Statute, to better regulate the class.

“The ultimate objective of the association is the creation of the Physical Therapy Association, but as we have not yet succeeded, because this depends on policies created at government level, we have not made much progress in this purpose which aims to better regulate the class,” said Dalva Correia, speaking to Inforpress, as part of the celebrations of the International Physiotherapy Day which is marked this Wednesday,  the 8th.

But, according to Dalva Correia, the fact the association did not achieve this design did not make the class stop, on the contrary, she states that everyone has done their utmost to help the associates and disseminate physiotherapy in Cabo Verde.

He also pointed out that in the dissemination of information on physiotherapy, the association has sought to clarify who is or is not a physiotherapist, since in the country people who do not have this training, but who were enrolled in the Ministry of Health as physiotherapists.
