Praia, Oct 13 (Inforpress) – The Chargé d’Affaires of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg in Cabo Verde today considered that the Program to Support the Renewable Energy Sector (PASER) will contribute to better structuring the renewable energy sector in the archipelago.
Speaking at the opening of the first Steering Committee of the Renewable Energies Program for Luxembourg Cooperation in Cabo Verde, which took place in Praia, Angèle da Cruz indicated that PASER CVE / 083, for the 2017-2020 horizon, is budgeted at 4.5 million euros (about 500 million escudos).
She said that the agreement signed in June this year between Cabo Verde and Luxembourg will allow the strengthening of the public structure and the implementation of national policies and regulation of the renewable energy sector in the archipelago.
This program, according to Angèle da Cruz, will also help lower the cost of energy production and consumption, guarantee universal access to electricity and, above all, reduce poverty in the country.
