Parliament: Government accuses PAICV of “irresponsibility” for stating that OE 2022 “is to meet executive expenses”

Praia, Nov 26 (Inforpress) – The Government accused the largest opposition party (PAICV) of “irresponsibility”, for this political force having said in parliament that the OE 2022 is “to meet the expenses of the State” and of a “fat” executive.

This accusation was made by the Prime Minister, Ulisses Correia e Silva, during his intervention in the discussion in general of the bill approving the State Budget for the economic year 2022, having argued that this type of speech “does not contribute anything to the difficult moment” the country goes through.

“This speech discredits the political class and brings no added value, neither to poor, medium and even wealthy families and is an extremely serious speech,” he said, suggesting that this type of speech should be changed.

This kind of approach, added Ulisses Correia e Silva, is “extremely harmful” to the political class, and this time is to make a re-appreciation of these types of speech he classified as “shot in the foot for the political class and tarnishes the image of politicians.”
