Paralympics: Heidilene Oliveira and Jailson Andrade win silver medals in Tunisia

Praia, Jun 29 (Inforpress) – Cabo Verdean Paralympic athletes Heidilene Oliveira and Jailson Andrade Correia won silver medals in the 200 and 400 metres, respectively, at the Tunis 2022 World Para Athletics – Grand Prix, which takes place in Tunisia.

Heidilene Oliveira, who this Monday had won the bronze medal in the 100 meters, today won the silver medal in the 200 meters (T12, Visual Impairment) along with her guide Jailson Oliveira, also from São Vicente, with a time of 28 seconds and 14 hundredths.

The athlete Jailson Andrade Correia (class T11, Total Blind) and his guide Isaías Moniz, both from São Domingos, won the silver medal in the 400 meters, with a time of 1 minute, 3 seconds and 86 hundredths. According to the schedule, the athletes will receive the respective medals this Wednesday, day when the athlete Heidilene Oliveira and her guide Jailson Oliveira return to be in action, in the 400 meters and Marilson Semedo in the javelin.
