Paralympic athlete Marco Aurélio is finalist in the 2021 indoor rowing world championship

Praia, 17 Feb (Inforpress) – Paralympic athlete Marco Aurélio Martins said Monday he felt ready to represent Cabo Verde as a finalist in the 2000 meters distance running category at the 2021 indoor rowing world championship.

Indoor rowing is an exercise simulating the practice of traditional rowing, with the great advantage of being able to be carried out in several places and in which the practitioner does not need a boat or contact with water from the bay and lagoons, places where traditional rowing is practiced.

Speaking to Inforpress, the athlete was “very happy” and said that he was already waiting for that qualification in the M PR2 category (2.000 meters), since in December he had already won a gold medal in a competition at the African level .

“I already got a gold medal at the level of Africa and I was almost sure that I would be selected for the world cup, but I was just waiting for those responsible to select the qualified ones and that is how I received confirmation of my qualification”, he explained.
