Pan-African Parliament calls on Cabo Verdean authorities to accelerate ratification process of Malabo protocol

Praia, April 25 (Inforpress) – Pan-African Parliament President Roger Nkodo Dang on Monday called on the Cabo Verdean authorities to accelerate the process of signing and ratifying the Malabo Protocol to allow this continental organization to have powers Legislation.

Roger Nkodo Dang was speaking at the solemn session of the National Assembly held today by the Cabo Verdean Parliament to welcome the Pan African and ECOWAS Members who are in Cabo Verde for a decentralized session of the ECOWAS Parliament.

“We have come here to ask the President of the Republic, the National Assembly to sign and ratify the Malabo Protocol that will make the Pan-African Parliament a full legislative power to solve the important problems facing our continent” , said.

“So I wanted to take advantage of this great assembly to ask for our appeal to be welcomed and in the coming days the Parliament and the Government of the Republic of Cabo Verde sign and ratify the Malabo Protocol,” he added.
