Palmarejo Justice Campus includes hearing room for minors who are victims of sexual assault – Minister

Praia, Nov 29 (Inforpress) – The Government is considering the creation of a room for hearing minor who are victims of sexual assault with psychological monitoring and Gender-Based Violence (VBG), within the framework of the Palmarejo Justice Campus project.

The information was provided to journalists by the Minister of Justice, Joana Rosa, on the sidelines of the roundtable on child victimization promoted by the Disadvantaged Children Association (Acrides), with the main objective of strengthening the flow of care to child victims.

“Within the Palmarejo Justice Campus project framework, we are considering the creation of an internal room, prepared for the hearing of minor who are victims and also those of GBV”, said Joana Rosa.

This is because in the case of minors are often victims twice, for having been sexually assaulted and for the “exposure” they are targeted in the course of the crime process.
