Praia, Sep 26 (Inforpress) – An exhibition of paintings by the painter Omar Camilo entitled “Vital Fragments” is inaugurated Friday, 29th, in the auditorium of the Portuguese Cultural Center, at Praia City.
The exhibition, which brings together 10 paintings “of great artistic quality, medium and large format”, is promoted by the Portuguese Cultural Center / Camões Institute of Cooperation and Language of Praia, and will be open to the public until October 6.
The exhibition, whose argument is based on the painter’s concern, “for the balance, ecological, ethical, social, human on the planet,” is pointed out as “a call to attention on the present times”.
Omar de la Caridad Pérez Hernández was born in 1964, in Cuba, where he studied film and television. Between 1987 and 1999 he directed more than 100 programs and documentaries, having participated, in representation of Cuba, in several international festivals of audiovisual and multimedia.
Omar Camilo (artistic name) is a member of the National Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba and the Association of Latin American Documentarists.
