PAICV votes against conclusions of the CPI report requested to investigate the maritime transport concession process

Praia, Jan 28 (Inforpress) – The PAICV voted against the conclusions of the Parliamentary Committee of Inquiry (CPI) report on the concession of maritime transport, constituted at its request, the report of which was delivered today to the Vice-President of the Assembly for publication.

The CPI’s President Manuel Inocêncio Sousa, who is a PAICV’s MP, told reporters after delivering the document to parliament, the conclusions did not reach consensus, and the PAICV (opposition party) voted against.

Manuel Inocêncio Sousa did not want to disclouse the details and conclusions of the report, but said that anyone who consults the document, after its publication, will be informed of what happened during the process.

“The conclusions were not consensual. They were approved by the majority of MPs from the MpD parliamentary group. PAICV’s MPs voted against and presented their explanation of vote, which is their vision of what the conclusions should be”, he said.
