Padre António Vieira Institute wants to implement the “UBUNTU” project  in Cabo Verde

 

Praia, Aug 29 (Inforpress) – The Padre António Vieira Institute of Portugal wants to implement the “UBUNTU” project in Cabo Verde, so that young people are agents of transformation and promote development in favor of community service.

The information was provided by the coordinator of the “UBUNTU” project, and the institution, Sofia Alves, in press statements in Praia city, on the occasion of the training opening”UBUNTU: Summer School this Monday  in which will attend 35 young people from Institutions, organizations and associations.

“Our next step is to launch the seed here in Cabo Verde, a ‘UBUNTU’ leadership academy to bring the spirit and philosophy to other places,” said the director, noting that they are currently training young people with a leadership profile from the context of vulnerability, so that in the future they may be moving forward with this dream and project.

However, he added that during the training sessions, leadership, conflict mediation, empowerment and personal and social development will be taught during the training, which will be explored in the five essential pillars of the program, such as self-knowledge, self-confidence, empathy, resilience and service.
