Praia, Jul 23 (Inforpress) – The outgoing ambassadors of Guinea-Bissau and Senegal were awarded on Thursday in Praia by the President of the Republic, with a medal of merit, at the farewell ceremony of the diplomatic representatives in Cabo Verde.
At the time, M’Bala Fernandes said it is with “deep honor” he receives this “simple and acknowledged tribute” for everything was done at the diplomatic level after the installation in 2018 of the Guinea-Bissau embassy in Cabo Verde. “It is with deep honor at this moment I receive the medal of merit for what we have done since the installation of the embassy to the present date,” noted the diplomat.
The first resident ambassador of Guinea-Bissau in the country, pointed out that during these three years there was a “paradigm shift”, with the end of a diplomacy based on the axis “Dakar-Bissau and Bissau Praia”, for better communication Bissau-Praia, with the installation of the two embassies.
“It is an indelible, unbreakable historical landmark the history will never erase … and it will be in the history books of Guinea-Bissau and Cabo Verde diplomacy,” said M’Bala Fernandes, highlighting the exchange of official visits by the two Presidents of the Republic.
