Oceania Blue Sea Expedition takes care of water access problems and solutions in Cabo Verde

Praia, Dec 4 (Inforpress) – A group of eight young people who are part of the Oceania Blue Sea Expedition project are in Cabo Verde finding on-site problems and solutions in terms of access to water.

Speaking to the press on Tuesday in Praia, the group’s spokesman, Santiago Garcia, said that from what they saw where they went, more precisely in the islands of Sal, Maio and Santiago, Cabo Verde is “in a process of improving” natural water purification and “people are trying to understand all the information and learn”.

“The aim is to know the world’s problems and also the solutions. The idea is to connect people and solutions. Share the solutions here with, for example, Thailand or any other country in the world. Let everyone know about Cabo Verde’s problems and solutions,” he explained.

The Oceania Blue Sea Expedition is an audiovisual journey looking for solutions around the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) based on science, dialogue and coexistence, which uses entertainment and leisure as levers to generate behavior change.

Its ultimate goal is to involve citizens and businesses in achieving the goals of the United Nations 2030 agenda, coinciding with the holding of COP25 in Spain.
