NOSI becomes the host of the ECOWAS Investment Bank’s database at home

Sal Rei, April 28 (Inforpress) – The Operational Nucleus for the Information Society will host the ECOWAS Investment Bank’s database as part of an agreement signed today in Boa Vista by officials from the two institutions.

The agreement, which formalizes the provision of this service, was signed on the island of Boa Vista, on the sidelines of the International Partners Conference, by the President of the ECOWAS Investment Bank (BIDC), George Donkor, and the administrator of the Operational Nucleus for the Information Society (NOSI), Mayra Silva.

According to the President of BIDC, which is headquartered in the city of Lomé, Togo, George Donkor, the choice of Cape Verde and NOSI to host its first computer backup site was made with the utmost transparency and confidence.

As explained, a tender was held in which the 15 countries that make up ECOWAS were evaluated on several criteria, including the electrification rate and quality of energy supply, political stability, skill and quality of logistics services, average ICT development index, average general infrastructure quality index, and internet cost.
